As JourneyOne’s Basecamp Leader for the Mining & Energy sector, and having spent 20+ years working with these industries, I coordinate our organisation’s expertise to solve the industry’s biggest business challenges and achieve their technology and innovation goals.

I’m proud of JourneyOne’s people focused principles and values, as well as the unique value proposition we offer to leading mining and energy organisations as they navigate industry challenges including the energy transition, decarbonisation and application of AI.

It is personally refreshing to be a part of an organisation that wants to do things differently, with the freedom to focus my decades of experience on driving practical change and generating value for our Mining & Energy clients and their people.

As a Basecamp Sherpa at JourneyOne, I lead the people and performance lead product, but my passion and purpose are rooted in a lifetime of building and leading elite teams.

My extensive experience as an Olympic athlete, coach, and medalist has shown me that the true secret to high performance isn't just skill—it's team culture and wellbeing.

My work, with both our clients and internally with our own consultants, is centred on this principle. What makes a high-performing team?

As a Basecamp Sherpa, I lead an Artificial Intelligence product called TrekAI, helping our clients, consultants and basecamps unlock the value ofAI through responsible and impactful adoption. My focus is on shaping human-technology collaboration so that people thrive alongside AI, not in competition with it.

By working closely with leaders and teams, I help design strategies, tools, and capabilities that make AI practical, trusted, and transformative.

I’m passionate about creating an environment where our people and our clients can confidently embrace AI to deliver remarkable outcomes today, while building the skills and resilience needed for the future.

As CTO, I advise JourneyOne’s clients on all aspects of technology strategy, delivery and governance. I work with them to envision a future, make critical decisions and leverage emerging technologies that balance competing needs for innovation and operational excellence. 

I lead JourneyOne’s architecture and technology teams, building capability in critical areas such as AI engineering, capability-based planning, enterprise application integration and cloud-native solutions.

As a regular convener of communities and presenter at events, I’m always seeking opportunities to learn from and share with our partners and industry.
